Something Awful Painting Challenge - Oath Trek 2012

Starting a few years ago, Something Awful's Traditional Games forum has done a painting competition. It started off as just people in the Warhammer thread claiming that they would paint certain miniatures or receive some shameful custom title - motivation to get things painted. Eventually, it became a thread of its own, and started picking up competitors and sponsors.


In the 2010 Oath thread, I painted probably about 2000 points worth of Orks, and ended up winning a copy of the new Space Hulk game with custom battlefoam, as well as some other things along the way.


In the 2011 Oath thread, I painted roughly the same number of points, this time Blood Angels, again ending up near the top of the points totals. I won something, but it remains to be seen what.


2012's Oathing has begun, and this year promises even more prizes and sponsors, and even more stuff to paint, since the competition has become miniature-agnostic. I have decided to keep track of my progress in more detail here, posting step by step progress pictures (assuming that I remember).
