Final Oath Complete

The last one for the (last) year! Plenty more to come in this year.
Noise Marines! Nice and simple color scheme. I kind of like these guys. I tried doing some heat discoloration on the gargoyle heads/weapon muzzles.

 Khorne Lord.

March Progress

My Khorne biker lord, with his quite orkish looking Axe of Blind Fury. Coming along well, basecoat and some drybrushing done, just the armor and a few other bits left to do before I start shading and highlighting.
Noise Marines, with gargoyle-headed Sonic Blasters and Blastmasters. Going for a simple color scheme on these guys. Trying for a heat-tarnished metal effect on the gargoyle heads, still have a ways to go.

Kaptain's Log - March: A Space Wolf in the Fold

And so marks the end of another month of oaths. You know what this means?

Kaptain's Log - March: A Space Wolf in the Fold

The latest jump through warp space had brought unexpected visitors. It seems during the entry to normal space, a small crew of space marines had made their way on board through a 'shootin hole' and were sabotaging key systems of the Orkerprise. Every squad of boyz sent to secure the area arrived too late with no trace of the marines about. Losing another battery of dakka-banks was the final straw for Kurk and he personally took charge of the security detail.

As a warning about the turbo-boosta lifts on the bridge failing came in, Kurk and his boyz sprung into action. Setting all dakka to krump, they stormed into the sabotaged area only to find it barren of all life save a single odd looking 'ard boy.

"Wat's yer name, ensign? Don't fink I've seen you around before..." The Kaptain asked as he raised his shoota.

"Ensign Wolf... Worf! I mean, Ensign Work... Workling reporting for duty!"

Kurk narrowed his eyes as he looked the 'ard boy up n' down. "Workling, eh? Maybe dere's an insurrection aboard me ship! Maybe you n' some boyz don't like how I'm running fings?"

In a panic, the disguised space wolf unloaded his bolter into the face of a nearby grot. Surprisingly, the Kaptain broke out in laughter and the marine paused his shooting.

"Now dat's more like one of da boyz! Krump anyfing unusual you see and we'll be back!"

It's been one hell of a year and we're on the final month of the contest! I've tried to keep the Kaptain's log as a way for people to improve their skills, and it's time to show me what you can do in the lightning round by doubling down! This month's Kaptain's log has two parts to it:
1) Enter two separate oaths, each meeting the minimum requirements (If you could mark them Alpha and Beta oath, muchly appreciated)
2) Do any two different Kaptain's log we've had this year and apply one to each oath

So you could enter 3 grots as your alpha, and a warboss as your beta for example. Then do original source lighting on one and non-metallic metal on the other if you like. And as a reward for doubling down the oath requirement this month? You'll get Kaptain's log points for both your Alpha and Beta oaths! A chance at an extra 2 points to help creep up the scoreboard!

I was originally going to ask that each oath be from different model lines, but didn't want to force people to buy stuff to compete. I encourage you to hold to the spirit of this though, as we've seen a lot of new models (and companies) you may never have known about without this thread! And a reminder this is your last chance at doing up a diorama! Ditto for saving the whales! Get those oaths in and keep impressing everyone.
