Oath Complete

Obviously, there are a few WIP pictures that didn't make it since last time, but here is the end result for this month.

Terminator's color scheme came out a little close to my Blood Angels' scheme to my liking, but hey, maybe he is a freshly turned renegade.

I also dropped him when he was 90% done and broke off a couple claws on the left side.
Blending on these Bloodletters' swords didn't turn out as nicely as the last one. I am still OK with them overall, though, since they are nice and glossy.

For my Plague Marines, I decided to go with a scheme similar to The Reborn. Less rust and more yellow pus, though. I see these guys as more newly-turned devotees of Chaos, hence the remnants of some Blood Angels iconography.

Creeping Along

Bronze on some metal bits, drybrush on some of the black (which looks like crap in this picture), and blue on the claws.
Blue on the tongues, bronze on the little Khorne symbols.
Yellow!

Lack of Progress

 Here are pictures, finally.

Two CSM that I haven't decided on colors for yet. Maybe Plague Marines?
 Two Bloodletters, barely started.
A Terminator, also barely started.

Lazy

I have been lazy both in painting and in updating. Every time I go to do a little painting, I forget my camera.

So use your imagination here. The bloodletters and terminator have been basecoated red, and some black has been added to the terminator and horns and such on the bloodletters. Now imagine I have painted more than that in the past two weeks.Fun, isn't it!

June Oath

Two more Bloodletters, a Terminator, and two Chaos Space Marines for June.

Hopefully it won't be as hectic as last month. It is getting hot here, so that means more time spent in the cool basement painting.

Kaptain's Log - June: The United Federation of Xenos

Kirk thought back to his first mission out of the dakkademy:

A group of Eldar had been desperately attempting to non-violently negotiate with the orks for months now. Kirk was running low on ammo from killing so many of them, and decided to hear what they had to say (before killing them in person). Having dealt with ork 'negotiations' before, the Eldar Farseer tried to keep things simple and on terms the orks would understand. The major roadblock seemed to be that peace was a completely foreign concept to the ork mind.

"Our people are not that different. When we say we seek peace, we want a state where both our people are happy. That our people may rejoice knowing the other is out there. A noble purpose that lies within us all to fulfill."

Kirk quietly thought over the Farseer's words before nodding in understanding. In one motion, he stood up and buried his axe deep in the Eldar's skull. "Now I know what you were trying to say! Come on boyz! We're going on The Waaagh for Peace!"

This is our first Quarterly Event and as you'll see, the theme for these months will be a little more unusual. Monthly prizes will be given out as normal to anyone who completes their oath. But to win one of the big quarterly prizes, you'll have to partake of the Kaptain's Log and complete your oath!

Most of our systems are awesome not just for the great gameplay we get, but the amazing stories that come with it. Some Malifaux rule books are more fluff than rules! So the theme this month is pretty easy: Do whatever you like to specialize a model beyond the normal, but when you post your completed oath you need to include a short story (min 10 sentences) about your oath. Just make it an original story (no copying established works), try to make it in the style of your system, and add something to a model beyond the normal assembly/paint job.
